DESCRIPTION: How the Arts Shape Individuals, Communities, and the Economy. Join Waukesha artist Jill Verbick in a discussion on the importance of art. The arts touch each and every one of us every minute of every day. Art defines us as a culture. It whispers and shouts. It soothes and nurtures. Art is beauty and so much more. The arts drive our local economy. Our galleries and their events attracts businesses, volunteers, benefactors and tourists. The arts are a catalyst for growth. Art initiates possibility and inspires the creative spirit in all of us. Let Jill introduce you to your local arts community and invite you to celebrate the creative spirit that lives in all of us. $3 for members, $5 for non-members Museum open 5:30-8:30. --
